Even as a child, in his native Srem, he met the art of making great sweets and that’s how love at first sight was born. And for life.

He started making sweet things in his native Golubinci in the pastry shop Maestro Nikola. As his knowledge grew, and with it his self-confidence, he continued his career in one of the most famous pastry shops in Belgrade, Mali Princ.

He built up his rich experience in a whole series of good places. As a pastry chef, he worked at the Mama Shelter Hotel, at the first Serbian chocolate factory, and then at the Gorski Hotel on Kopaonik. Today, his sweets are enjoyed by guests of the Crowne Plaza, Indigo and Radisson Collection hotels.

He did not regret sharing his knowledge with others. Many viewers of TV programs and channels on social networks got to know and try Peter’s sweets through the author’s show Sa slatkim na ti.

Petar believes that skill, love and creativity are important for a good cake. Art is the skill we have in our hands, love is the spice and driving force without which nothing in life succeeds, and creativity enters the scene to get us out of trouble, at a time when an ingredient is missing, or we are looking for a replacement, or we simply want to create better, or a new candy.

Petar says that he still remains faithful to his profession. He is currently working on several projects in collaboration with colleagues. He seeks challenges and improves himself. He likes to innovate and compete with himself, because that’s how he gets the best out of himself. And he likes to share knowledge with younger colleagues, because he says that it gives him the drive to go further and to push the boundaries in confectionery in our country.
